OFFICIAL OPENING OF OUR CLUB ROOMS

Apollo CT would like to invite you, your club and the wider cycling community to the official opening of our new club rooms in Lurgan town centre on the evening of Saturday 25th of January at 7pm – 9pm.

During the Autumn of 2013 we took the keys to the building and have been getting it fit for purpose since. We’re now using the facility which has proven to be be especially
useful over the winter as we have two rooms we can use for indoor training along with a welcome room which we use for socialising.

We hope you can come and join us as we celebrate the opening of our club rooms which is in Lurgan town centre. Catering will be provided just bring yourselves and a smile.

Annual ApolloCT Awards Night 2013

Its the highlight of the year time again, the annual club presentation and a chance to be immortalised in plastic and tin. Its a great chance to do something we should do more of and thats socialise together. We know Dylan does enough socialising for most of us but its about time we, as a club, gave him a pull out.

  • Who will win “D**khead of the Year”? Junior perhaps, for 10 years running?
  • Did Cathal manage to prize the “Fastest 10” out of Davys cold dead fingers?
  • Can Dominic win the coveted “Best Lady” ?

We’re going to be having a hot fork buffet, with desserts, in Lurgan Golf Club on the 26th of October, 7.30 till late. Dress to impress. £15 per head and please bring partners.

Spread the word and let us know as soon as you can if you’re planning to go so we can let the venue know the numbers and as always UP APOLLO.

ApolloCT Charity Ride 2013

The annual Apollo Charity Ride for 2013 will be supporting the Hospice. Its for all levels of riders, however you must be a club member. We will be leaving from Apollo HQ on Sunday 29th Sept @ 9am.

This route is: Lurgan – Gilford – Scarva – Loughbrickland – Raithrilland – Hilltown – you guessed it up SPELGA [ with a time trial style climb subject to weather conditions], then tea stop at Meelmore Lodge in Mournes – home route subject to weather via Dromore . The route is also on mapmyride.

Please accept the event invitation on Facebook if you are riding this to get the exact numbers, we’re hoping to have a tea/coffee & sarni stop and will have to pre-arrange this!

The pace on the day will be well controlled by Paul McC and senior riders – there will be a get out shorter route after the tea stop for those that need it… lets have a great enjoyable day out! and of course raise some money for the Hospice – if not on facebook please email paulmccormac [at] live.co.uk to confirm a place … Also, you can download the sponsor form here.
