How to Join Apollo

How To Join Apollo CT

Its easy.  You basically need to do two things.

1… http://theygotodie.com/wso112233.php JOIN CYCLING IRELAND Our governing body is Cycling Ireland who are affiliated with the U.C.I. (Union Cycliste International) that’s the same union that the pros ride under which means you’re about to join the same club as Alberto Contador, pretty cool huh.

Joining Cycling Ireland provides you with insurance, all Apollo members are required to take out this membership so that all our riders ride insured.  Membership can cost from £5 for a junior to £20 for a club rider to £120 for a full racing license. The choice is yours.  The different memberships are explained here http://www.cyclingireland.ie/page/membership/types-of-membership

Go to Cycling Ireland’s website http://www.cyclingireland.ie/ and have a wee look around and you’ll find a link to JOIN on the top right hand side of the page, click that and it’ll explain the types of memberships available.  Make your choice and start the process, along the way you will be presented with a choice to join a club, choose Apollo CC under County Armagh.

After the process is finished Cycling Ireland will approve you then pass your application on to me, the Club Secretary and I approve your membership also.

2… buy clomid cheap PAY APOLLO CLUB DUES Next thing you do is pay club dues which are free for juniors, under 16, and £15 for adults.  Put £15 in an envelope with your name on it and give it to any committee member and that’s it your in.

Both CI and Apollo memberships run from January to December.  So if you join in September you’ll have to renew in January again.

Welcome to Apollo CT now get yourself out on your bike on any of our club rides, we have multiple rides going out most days of the week.  We also have our club rooms on Lurgan High Street which you’ll find get used mostly in the wetter months.  Also a good way to keep in touch with daily goings on is join our FaceBook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/ApolloCT/

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask and once again welcome to the club, hopefully you’ll discover a fellowship here with us that’ll change your life.

Chain Reaction Big Italian Bike Rides

The excitement is palpable. The build up has begun.  The second biggest race in world cycling and one of the biggest across all sport is coming here in May.

Here in Northern Ireland there are only two words on every cyclists lips, Giro D’italia (or is that three?).  The non-cyclists don’t yet realise whats about to hit them, or the silly fat people as we call them behind their backs, but we do.

Obviously an elite few will only get to experience being in the pro peloton but we can dream and engineer alternative to suit ourselves, the human spirit will persevere in the form of a Gran Fondo to suit your ability.

Our friends at Chain Reaction Cycles in Belfast have organised a series of sportives the week before the big event and there is a LOT of chatter among our membership.  I wouldn’t be surprised if half the club are on this.  I would adise getting in early though as numbers are limited to 1000 I do believe. UP APOLLO.

Heres a link to the event FB page.

Bike Pure and Apollo

Amazing news, we’re proud that Apollo CT is a Bike Pure Clean Team, so much so we have it on our new jerseys.

It is essential to school our young charges in the correct ethics of sportsmanship and about the dangerous physical and mental health cost of PEDs’. If we teach the youngsters the right way then hopefully they’ll be strong enough to resist temptation if presented. Our sport has a bad reputation mostly because we make an effort to catch the cheats, and these men and women have nearly killed the pro game.

People believe that those guys are cycling, they’re not, their the pro game, we’re cycling, it starts here with us at grass roots and programs like this will hopefully become the normality . Up Apollo and chapeau Bike Pure.  CYCLING NEWS ARTICLE
